The 6th annual OHES Kick-Off Food Drive to benefit the Growing Oaks Food Program and the Oak Hill Food Pantry was a super success. The students and staff collected 3,248 food items, with Philip Malone’s 5th grade class collecting over 500 items themselves and winning the party sponsored by Growing Oaks Directors Alicia Lloyd, Cheryl Lovett, and Marsha McCorkle.

Individual winners for participation were (front row, L-R): Gavin Whaley, Grace Patton, Gracyn Allen, Morgan McCarty, Jolee Coy, and Ava Clark. Back row: Antonio Rodriguez, Mason Brisker, Baylee Crabtree, Baylee Waldren, Evan Potter, and Blaise Barger.

Staff winners were Sonya Davis and Jackie Denney. Since OHES began having these food drives, over 16,000 food items have been donated to charity.     September 2018
