2024 Jackson County Farmers Club Scholarship
PURPOSE:
To assist young Jackson County residents continue their efforts to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society through post-secondary education, the Jackson County Farmers’ Club has established a scholarship program to be awarded to a deserving graduating senior or a student already pursuing post-secondary education. The scholarship is for a total of $500 for a two or four year program provided the student maintains a 2.5 GPA. the scholarship will be awarded after the completion of the applicant's first semester.

CRITERA FOR BASIS OF AWARD:
The following considerations will be given in the selection of the scholarship recipient:
1. Applicant must reside in Jackson County.
2. Applicant must have an application on file in the Office of Admissions of the college of their choice at the time of submission.
3. Applicant should have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (based on a 4.0 scale) in high school.
4. Participation in school and community activities and evidence of leadership will be taken into consideration.
5. The scholarship must be used toward a degree in an agricultural related field of study and at a college or university that is accredited by the North Central Association or similar organization in other regions. Note: Priority will be given to agricultural related fields of study; however, if no applications are submitted meeting that criteria, consideration will be given to applicants who have a strong agricultural background (4-H, FFA, raised on a farm, etc.) but not pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field of study.
