The Cutler Scholars Program is Ohio University’s premier merit scholarship program for students who are driven to explore how they can use their skills and interests to make a positive impact in their communities.
The Hughes Cutler Scholar for Oak Hill High School will receive a 4-year scholarship of $20,000 per year plus an additional $3,000 each summer to support travel, research, service, and professional development. In addition to the financial award, Cutler Scholars benefit from individualized coaching, weekly seminar discussions of major social and political issues, participation in the OHIO Honors Program, and residence in our Honors & Scholars residential community.
Visit https://www.ohio.edu/honors/cutler-scholars to learn more about the exciting opportunities available to Cutler Scholars.
The Cutler Scholars Program encourages any eligible student with strong intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated commitment to community engagement to apply. We do not consider standardized test scores in our selection process. Additionally, there is no minimum GPA required to apply, though successful applicants historically have possessed a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
Eligible students can apply to the Cutler Scholars Program by completing the Ohio University Application for Admission and Scholarships via the Common Application by November 15th. For best consideration, students should submit a full and complete Common Application, including the activities section and at least one personal essay.
Eligible students from Oak Hill High School will be sent a supplemental application after they have submitted the Common Application later this fall. The supplemental application is typically due in early December. The exact date will be posted as soon as it has been decided by Ohio University.
