2022 Jack M. Woolum Memorial Scholarship
$2,500 per academic year for a maximum of four years ($10,000)
Jack M. Woolum was a 1966 graduate of Oak Hill High School. After high school, Mr. Woolum pursued his higher education at Franklin University earning a degree in Business. He went on to earn a Master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and was credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Woolum was employed by several large companies throughout his long career and the last fifteen years were spent employed by United States Department of Defense (DOD) and traveling the world. Mr. Woolum was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He recognized the importance of education for rural youth and credited his own education with allowing him to live a life of opportunity and success. This scholarship has been established in Mr. Woolum’s honor to help another Oak Hill High School student reach for the stars.
Scholarship Eligibility: Enrollment in a four-year, accredited college or university
Selection of Scholar: Woolum Scholarship Committee
Award Type: The scholarship will be paid directly to an institution of higher learning. The scholarship will be paid upon presentation of proof of enrollment as a full time student at a four-year college or university. Proof of enrollment must be presented annually to the Oak Hill Union Local School District Treasurer before payment is released.
